Answer:	If money was the thing, you can put cut out a mat maybe for the padding for this. So, no scratch surface. You can buy a cheap roll of thin, perforated rubberized, kitchen cabinet liner, to cut out a circle. But if you have more money in your budget. I would definitely go with another more expensive one. Because, this one is kinda less substantial in weight, not enough to do a light item with ergonomic force, for a record. This one works really well with heavy hot sauce and spice jars. I initially bought this for a Jenga playing platform. It was ok for this but not moderately perfect. It wasn't heavy enough and ball barring enough, to stream a smooth and effortless glide. Answer:	The depth of the swivel is 12.6 inches, but longer legs may still work. If the legs are angled, the front to back measurement would be less than the total length. And even if the legs are perfectly perpendicular to the TV, the legs would only extend 0.7 inches over the front and back. I believe the TV would still be well supported with 90% of the leg on the swivel.

As long as you periodically dust your stand, table or cabinet that the swivels rests upon, no damage is possible. high density felt on a grit free surface cannot scratch soft wood or even soft finishes. Regarding the micro-suction pads, they are not adhesive. They can be removed and leave no residue. But they do stick well. Question:	Can this stand fit for 40 inch tv
Answer:	It's more for a 32in but if you have a 40 inch that has the base instead of the feet at the bottom it could work.
Question:	Would the top support a 40 lb ~ crt tv
Answer:	Yes, but depending upon how it sits on the stand you may have to purchase one of those stands that the TV can be lifted on. I hope that makes sense.
Question:	Can I only use 3 of the tiers
Answer:	Depends / Not really. Each shelf has about a 3/4 hole that the posts, with about 1/2 threaded part fits thru, and next post screws into that. Missing a shelf, you'd have to make up for that missing shelf thickness. Posts are all plastic. It probably would be fine to leave off the top shelf though, and just put the post caps there. Great shelves for the price.
Question:	I have 55 inch tv, will this hold it
Answer:	I guess it depends on how much you like your tv. /joke That said, no I wouldn’t put a 55 inch tv on it. Its not sturdy or wide enough to support that kind of weight. It’s basically made of plastic and wood.
