I would also suggest taking a measurement of the diameter of the fire pit and just search online for a similar replacement peice. Hope that helps. | Answer: | As a child, my dad kept 29 gallon aquarium on an antique buffet. The glass, gravel and fultration system was heavy without water. It's good to remember that each gallon of water weighs 8.4 lbs. Unless it can support 100 pounds, DIY furniture isn't the best idea. Incidentally, dad would spend an evening each month maintaining the tank. A few days prior, he would fill containers with water to replace the 20 gallons drained. Would run garden hose to downstairs toilet and start by giving the hose a good stuck. To clean algae from the glass, he scraped it with a single-deck razor blade. The gravel acted as filter for underground system; and he would scoop out 1/2 to wash under running water. As I write, I am hoping to see him again to thank him for our aquarium and so much else. |
