| Answer: | The easiest way is putting thin piece of rubber cut to sizes as a spacers at the front tips of the arm that holds the glass shelf. It already comes with 2 pieces, one for each side. You can also use a piece of cardboard and paint it black with a marker. Just make sure you put a little bit of glue to the piece you going to use so it can stay in place and doesn't fall of when you remove the shelf. |

| Answer: | I don’t believe there is a spec for max spacing and that really depends on what material you’ll be using for the top. I used two shelve brackets for each of my 36”x8’ folding work bench spacing them 4’ apart and 24” on center from outside edge. The brackets are rated at 550lbs so I used 3/4” plywood for the top with a perimeter rectangular frame using 2x3” wood and brackets are lagged into the wall studs. This thing is stout and never questioned its durability, very stable and solid. When not Using it folds flat against the wall but does stick out about 4” from the wall because of framing and 1” clearance needed for bracket. Ive had an easy 450lbs on this and still very solid. If the socket holes are tight, then the shelf pins can support a good amount of weight, I have some with over 50 lbs of crockery stored on them and they have been in place for over a year and no sagging or distortion at all. The trick is to buy the right diameter pins in the 1st place. Get some that match your shelf holes. You can measure the existing pin diameters with a handy chart from DUGAN HARDWARE SYSTEMS, whom I purchased from. They provide a handy measuring chart to guide you. Under TV Mounting
For the bottom shelf mount, assemble the VESA brackets to the shelf supports with the VESA brackets above the flat surface of the supports. Then, tighten the screws with the provided Allen key.
Above TV Mounting
For the top shelf mount, assemble the VESA brackets to the shelf supports with the VESA brackets below the flat surface of the supports. Then, tighten the screws with the provided Allen key.
Attach Shelf to Brackets
First, slide the plastic clips onto the shelf, keeping the holes in the clips behind the rear edge of the shelf. Then, attach the shelf to the assembled brackets using the provided screws (without over tightening).
Mount Shelf to TV
Align the VESA brackets with the mounting holes on your TV. Then, place the VESA brackets from your TV mount into the back of the shelf VESA brackets. Secure with the provided screws and you’re done!
