| Answer: | Sturdy is a relative term, but I would say yes. I have about 60 pounds on top of mine. I put the heaviest things (lamps) at each end, where there is support. I wouldn't put anything really heavy in the middle, where there is no support. The glass is held in place by suction cups above each cat. It is heavy and 1/4 inch thick. It is removable and can be repositioned, but is meant to be stationary once placed. It's exactly 55 inches wide. Hope this helps. |
