As long as you make a point to roll them up every day, the material will continue to be comfortable yet resistant to body weight so that it doesn't simply flatten out and become paper thin over time. Combined, my wife and I weight about 345 pounds, so that gives you an idea of what it holds up to in my experience. Definitely I have enjoyed these beds more than any mattress. Sometimes when I backcountry camp on hard earth, I come back with sciatica. I sleep on these beds and it is a huge relieve to my back. People talk about problems with mattresses all of the time; there are commercials about how bad they are and that is supposed to be a selling point for "improved" and more costly varieties. Yet these roll up mattresses are an investment that is cheaper, more convenient, more mobile, and smaller than a mattress. Sometimes, just for the hell of it, we sleep wherever we want. Office, in front of the fire place (romantic!), in our loft. You can't do that in a bed! Plus, I use my bedroom for all kinds of things, not just for sleeping. I enjoy the wide open space when I'm not sleeping. There is no huge bed in the floor! I will sleep on one of these (or, eventually, on successive replacements) for the rest of my life. |

| Answer: | Yes, it does work. I bought a very inexpensive $88 silver metal frame futon from Walmart. It came with a cheap foam mattress that had gotten flat within a month of sitting on it. This new futon mattress works perfectly on that frame. This futon frame that I have does not have the two guards on the front bottom, that some futon frames have to prevent the mattress from sliding forward though. I have to say that if it did, then this mattress would not work; I would have to take those guards off. This mattress does not slide and looks perfect as is with the frame. |

| Answer: | I"m not sure what you mean is there still a smell, when you get it, it does have a smell to it but its not unpleasant and it is slight like plastic as if it does take on a slight odor of the plastic it was in but it disperses fast, its like anything else you buy new. I have been sleeping on this mattress for over 6 months now and I still love it, it is so comfortable not too soft not too firm. I recently went on a trip and the beds there were too soft I couldnt wait to get back home and the night I did I got the best nights sleep that week because of the mattress. It holds up well and it was well worth the purchase cost. |

| Answer: | The box is as long as the mattress and square. The mattress is rolled up length-wise and wrapped in plastic so it will slide into the box easier. |

| Answer: | I bought a mattress protector to put the mattress in and then put the futon cover on top and the original cover cannot be removed. The inside packing looks a mess and not even worth the headache. I had left over waterproof Fabric I used for previous furniture so was able to make a cover and slide the entire mattress into it. I don't see the point of a zipper when the mattress cover cannot be removed. |

| Answer: | No it doesn't. I purchased this mattress and since it's so much thicker than a standard futon mattress, it doesn't work on a standard frame. When I try to convert it to a couch the whole frame lifts off the ground. The only way to convert it is to take the mattress off, convert the frame, then put mattress back on. I'm trying to figure out what frame will work. |
