Answer:	I am assuming you are speaking about the right arm and the base. I had this same problem and figured out that the directions are backward. It tells you to slide the arm into the base but you are supposed to slide the base into the arm.
Question:	Does the couch come with the chaise or ottoman? it’s different some pictures
Answer:	It is a large ottoman that butts against the sofa. You get 3 bottom pillows: 2 small, 1 long. That allows you to configure the sofa as standard 3 seat sofa using 1 small and the long cushion. Or you can configure it as a chaise using the 2 small cushions on the sofa, pushing the ottoman base against the sofa and laying the long cushion on both the sofa and ottoman creating the chaise. We use the small cushions on either end, then butt the ottoman against the middle and place the long cushion over it and the middle of the sofa. Our dogs love it, they lay between us and snooze the evening away.

Answer:	Hi Grace2u, I paired this frame with the DHP 6 inch mattress (Bought both from the same company just to be safe because I wanted to make sure they would fit). I did some research and a lot of the reviews about the 8 inch mattress said that it was too thick to fold up easily into a couch, so I went with the 6 inch. If you're looking for the squishy tempurpedic mattress, the 6-inch won't match your needs, but if you like a relatively firm mattress, I would highly recommend this futon. In my honest opinion, the it is one of the most comfortable futons I've ever slept on and I would say that you could easily use this everyday! The only issue I had was the smell, but it wears off in a few days.As for the actual frame, I mostly just leave it in the couch position. For me, it is a little difficult to move between couch and futon position because of the stiffness. But otherwise, the frame does it's job! I think it also matters which futon you use it with. I am pretty happy with the combination that I bought!
Question:	how comfortable is this with an 8 inch mattress
Answer:	The mattress is very comfortable. The frame is not very sturdy. We had problems with it. We are now using the futon mattress on a bed in a guest room that is sparingly.

Answer:	It fits a Full-size futon mattress. A bit large than a twin. I purchased the DHP 8-Inch Independently-Encased Coil Premium Futon Mattress, Full Size, Tan. Its fantastic, and holding up very well.
