MyGreat Grand daughter is 11 mo old & I put it In the middle of her play yard which is on top of a foam pad , this is basically just to get her used to it and she actually likes it but she uses it like a little table , she sits in there placing toys on it. I figure maybe by 1 1/2 years old I’ll put like a tumbling mat under it , (try her for naps with me alongside) in case she rolls off , figuring she should be good and used to it by that time. We have hard tile floors.

Answer:	It does have a strip in the middle but it looks like when it is fully extended and a child is laying on the cot, the strip doesn't touch the top of the cot. The kids haven't complained. They are 2 1/2. Hope that helps. I find the cots very handy.

Answer:	I bought 2 cots for my nieces boys they loved them. I think the weight was around 75 tops not more than 100

Answer:	Make sure the metal poles are fully seated. It can be a little difficult, just take your time and check every corner. You might need to take the poles out and make sure there are no bits of plastic stopping it from fully seating. Good luck! P.S. I am assuming you are undoing the Velcro to get it around the last pole. if not, make sure you are undoing the Velcro vs sliding the pole through it. Also make sure you do that side last.
