Answer:	Yes. According to the pictures shown, that's where it's supposed to go. I mounted it under the larger desk originally but moved it over to the return and works well. There are predrillled mounting screw holes there as well.

Answer:	We only have the 3 drawer file cabinet as pictured and nothing under the open desk portion of the "L". Another 3 drawer file cabinet will fit in that space. It would leave little space to turn in the chair for leg room.

Answer:	Given the desk is 29.5" deep and the center board underneith is half way in the middle it appears there is about 15" of distance between the front of the desk and center board underneith.
