He feels it is rather comfy, he is on the plump side. I don't know that I would buy it for a petite individual though. My mom is just under 5ft and she felt like it was a bit oversized.

Answer:	It's definitely more the leaning back position. If you're looking for a task chair for a bigger person, I ordered this one: Safco Products 3391BL Alday 24/7 Task Chair You have to order the arms separately, which is stupid, but it was worth it in the end. It promotes good posture and it very sturdy and comfortable. Let me know if you need any other advice for products for bigger people. My partner is, so we've tested many things to see if they work for him.

Answer:	I admit it initially didn't look promising with regards to comfort being a bit smaller than the standard office chair. I bought it primarily because my family is composed of larger people and standard furniture has been known to break prematurely. That being said once my brother and sister sat in the chair it was awhile before I was able to get a turn. It is surprisingly comfortable. I have a cushioned foot stool slightly lower than the seat and it's really very comfortable. You don't miss the high back like on the office chairs and the durability issues are nonexistent. I've had this for 5 or 6 months now and not one problem with it. There are sliding rubber feet things on it so it doesn't slide around. It is a little heavy to move but that's the main purpose, being stout and strong for heavier people. As long as everyone is under 550 lbs there should be no problem. The bottom cushion felt very firm but while sitting on it it doesn't get uncomfortable at all. A few days and it loosens up a bit but remains on the firm side, but still comfortable enough to want to sit on it still. It's comfy enough, seems durable enough and is plenty thick. The chair is at the beach house, a 3 hour drive but I remember it being plenty thick at around 4 or 5 inches with the back about 2 or 3 inches thick. Plenty strong. Make sure you tighten all the nuts and bolts and screws finger tight as tight as you can. I would buy again no problem. I got mine in a darkish red. Look kind of retro nice. Hope this helps.
