It might not matter in the end though -- this thing is pretty rickety at it's highest setting, and difficult to carry because gravity holds it together. You have to grab it by the leg and the seat or it comes crashing apart. I wouldn't buy it again, and you can have mine if you're in the vicinity of Maine.

Answer:	There are charts online that tell you what size to get based on your height. I am 5'7" and have a 25 inch ball, which seems right for exercises where I am siting on it. Answer:	I'm an therapist and ergonomic specialist, I just happened to be looking at this item and figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. I would recommend finding a chair with good back support and allow yourself to recline to a position where your trunk is approx.110-120 degrees with the floor. This position basically places some of the weight of your trunk onto the back of the chair rather than your lumbar spine and reduces the compressive forces that would normally bear down on your spine. Without knowing your specific medical situation you kind of have to take the advise with a grain of salt but I'd recommend something with dynamic and adjustable back support, I don't think this product would be great for your (or most people's) situation.

You would think that things would fit us pretty equally, but she has a longer torso and shorter legs and I have longer legs and a shorter torso, so we’re always surprised how differently things work for us. So long story short, I think it depends on your proportions.

Question:	I am 6'1 and I used to work a gym that had these chairs not as fancy.. would this fit some that doesn't look like a child chair
Answer:	I thought I had received the wrong size ball also and contacted Gaiam immediately and was not very nice. :( I did exactly what you should not do. I was excited to receive it, put it together and blew up the ball, set in on the base and grabbed the phone because it didn't fit. You have to put air into the ball and let it sit. I let mine rest overnight. Add more air the next day and repeat. The ball expanded and fits perfectly. The child-size chair balls only come in certain colors and are not shipped with the larger chair. If instructions are followed, there is no issue and the chair is great!!
Question:	It looks like most of the bad reviews for this chair came a year or more ago. I'm wondering if anyone who purchased it in 2020 have had it break
Answer:	My dental hygienist owns the adjustable back model and told me she never leans back in it. (comfort reasons) I own the backless chair and find myself always leaning a bit forward due to what I do for a living. So, the advantage here would be cost difference from backless to adjustable back.

Chair Dimensions

The height of the back of the chair is 2.5 feet tall. The base measures 20 inches wide from one side of the wheels to the other. Some basic assembly required.

Inflation Instructions

For optimal performance, it may be necessary to re-inflate your new Balance Ball once or twice after the initial inflation allowing the ball a day or two to 'stretch' to its final size (which should then fit perfectly in the base).

Inflate ball with air, let stand for 24 hours, deflate 50% then fill again to 52cm height.

If you are planning to use the SmarterLife Products SmartSport Premium Exercise Ball for physical workouts, here are the sizing instructions: If your height is 4'7" to 5'5", order the 55 cm ball; If 5'6" to 6'0", order the 65 cm ball, and if 6'1" to 6'8", order the 75 cm ball. These instructions are included in our Amazon product listing under the "Product Description" area, as well. Now, if you plan to use this ball as a desk chair, you would be well advised to order the next size larger from the above instructions if you are "sized" to the 55 cm or 65 cm balls for workouts. For example, I use a 65 cm ball for workouts, but the 75 cm ball for my desk chair (I use two balls ). The exception to this: If you size for the 75 cm ball for workouts, most people of this height find the 75 cm ball appropriate for both workouts and desk use... because most desks cannot accommodate a ball larger than 75 cm comfortably. SmarterLife Products offers 3 sizes of its SmartSport Premium Exercise Ball as measured by its diameter -- 55 cm (21 1/2 inches), 65 cm (25 1/2 inches), and 75 cm (29 1/2 inches). Of course, the diameter can be easily measured from the floor to the top of the ball as measured from the middle point of the ball. To order the Right Size: If your height is 4'7" to 5'5", order the 55 cm ball; If 5'6" to 6'0", order the 65 cm ball, and if 6'1" to 6'8", order the 75 cm ball.
