Answer:	Haven’t stood on it but the underside of the lid has ribs for strength and it is a very sturdy hatch lid. I don’t see a problem standing on it

Answer:	It's quality leather but I wouldn't use it outside..it's in my back hallway where people change their shoes.

Answer:	Look, this really is reasonably sturdy, but if I were the manufacturer, I would not recommend anybody older than a child sitting on it. It really is not a genuine bench. Maybe just for slipping on shoes.
