Answer:	Yes. My husband had to do that with ours to fit my son’s bed.

Answer:	They are made of pine/spruce (soft wood). They are furring strips that can commonly be found at Home Depot, Lowes, or any lumber yard across the country.

Answer:	Ours just sat on top of the lips inside the side rails, it was a tight fit and the slats did not move. But I would advise against buying this product. The boards used in ours were so weak that a 30lb 4yo was able to break them just jumping once on the mattress.

Question:	How heavy of a mattress will this frame support? I have a soft sided waterbed mattress that will fit standard bed frames providing it will support it
Answer:	It works great with a memory foam mattress. No additional platform or support is needed.
Question:	Does the mattress fit inside the frame or does it sit on top of it
Answer:	The slats are 2 3/4" wide. 1/2" thick. They are much like the ones that were used in older beds under the boxspring, except there are lots more of these and they are spaced closer. They are all neatly attached as well, to strips of material that run down the edges of them. They easily support 2 medium sized adults and would support more I'm sure, but exactly what the weight limit would be, I don't know.

Question:	Can this replace cheap wooden slats on a wooden queen platform bed that already has a steel center beam installed
Answer:	Yes and... No. You need to read the dimensions carefully. I ordered this item after reading the answer to this question, under the impression that it would be a simple replacement. It wasn't. That's because "Queen size" (or in my case "twin size" and "full size") is apparently a vague descriptor. The steel slats came about an inch short, so I had to spend a few hours reframing the bed, drilling, screwing. It was a pleasant weekend project, I suppose. These slats are excellent.
Question:	Could this fit on a basic metal bed frame and take the place of a box spring? It is for my daughter and i don't want it to be too tall for her

Question:	can I use this directly on the floor for a low profile king bed frame
Answer:	Of course! My dog is injured and we had to dis assemble our queen bed frame. We put the mattress & box spring directly on the floor. Awful for us! Great for the dog BUT this little bit of support makes a huge difference in the feel of our mattresses. No longer smushy w/o the bed frame and still low enough to floor for the pooch.

Answer:	Be sure to measure your current bed frame first. I tried to put this inside my bed frame, but this bunkie board wasn't wide enough to reach the side supports. So it is useless to me, unless I buy some wood from home depot and try to widen the side supports in my current bed frame.

Answer:	Combined weight of the people on this bed is up to 500 lbs. I would caution to NOT EXCEED 500 lbs and would actually conclude that 500 lbs is the maximum of the weight of the persona plus the weight of the mattress just to be safe.
Question:	Can the full size frame fit for full - XL mattress
Answer:	...The full frame is cut for a full mattress. Any bigger and your mattress will flop over the sides. Think for a second.
Question:	Does this bed frame disassemble? Or does it come in one piece as shown
Answer:	The bed comes needing to be assembled. The parts are: 2 Bed Foot/Head (single piece each) 2 sides 2 foot rests 12 middle supports And all the screws you need to put them together, and even a hex wrench. The setup is laid out pretty straight forward for you in a 3-step process. Step 1 is to put one of the sides on each head/foot (the two pieces will look identical at this point) Step 2 is then to screw these two sides together. Step 3 is to add the middle supports, both between the two sides and the two foot rests. It looks exactly as shown once assembled.

Question:	what is the height of the mattress part
Answer:	The platform height is approximately 13"-14" to the slats from the floor. With my 8" foam mattress the total height is perfect for me as at 67 years young, it enables me to get in and out of bed without major effort. You can raise the height of the bed by either using a box spring, a thicker mattress or 'bed risers' which can be purchased relatively inexpensively at most home improvement outlets. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Padded cushion is 16 1/4 in. wide and 6 in. deep.

Answer:	It is pretty stable on level ground. I am careful to keep my feet on the ground. I love the kneeler overall - use it to garden, when painting baseboards in the house, scrubbing floors, etc. I have trouble getting up and down, and this helps greatly.
