Answer:	I've had my bed about a month. My son jumps on it a lot. My husband and I do "things" on it. No problem with the slats. There are Velcro pieces on the edges of the bed and the slats themselves that keep them in place pretty well.

This process is far more labor intensive, by man or machine, than just joining long lengths or wider panels.
