Question:	How far out from bed do you prop ladder to make the steps flat and parallel to ground? In other words, how much ground under ladder
Answer:	It depends on the height of what you are mounting it too. Ours is leaned against the top bunk bed in the trailer. It doesn't sit quite at 90 degrees its away from the bottom bunk at least a foot. the only mounting hardware included has just two screws for the top bracket. Depending on what you are mounting it to and the size of the people using the ladder, I wouldn't be comfortable saying it wouldn't pull out

Answer:	This is designed for a RV bunk bed situation. The steps are angled so when the ladder is at an angle the steps are level. If you put the ladder straight up and down the steps would be angled funny making it tricky/awkward. Check with this company though, they sell different models. Good ladder, great construction, use on my daughters bunk bed and is hefty enough for my carcass. : )

Answer:	It states it's 66 inches so 5.5 feet. I tried to use it in my trailer but my bunks don't have a lip so it would not work for my purpose.

Answer:	I believe this is intended to be used at a slight angle. There are 2 types on "mounts" at the top. The first simply hangs over the bed. For the second type, they provide some brackets that get screwed into the bed. There are hooked pieces that slide into the brackets. The screws provided very small and won't hold much weight. Basically there is nothing locking it into place.

Answer:	No, the steps are not constructed to be adjustable.

Answer:	I have had problems extending and retracting my ladder. I have had to have two people pull the ladder to the full length, then I have to force the rungs on the bottom half together. The bottom collapsible rung bottoms out half way down and will not close at all. I've had this ladder about a year and have had nothing but trouble sorry to say.

Answer:	That depends on how High your roof is and what you weigh. The ladder is sturdy but does have deflection if extended all the way out. It is of OK quality for the money. I use it inside homes mostly for basic maintenance and it is extended usually 10' at a maximum..
Question:	Will leaning ladder against a tall suv damage the vehicle
Answer:	I've used it several times extended only the sections I needed to get the work done, so yes you can do it safely. I do recommend that you inspect ALL the locks carefully to make sure that they in a FULLY LOCKED POSITION. I've had some issues with them not completely locking, and the ones that don't will slide down, so make absolutely sure they are locked.
Question:	On the 8.5 ladder what’s the highest standing point
Answer:	There is the metal on metal sound when extending and collapsing. The locks make a distinct click sound when they lock into place while extending. And if you let the ladder slam while collapsing, even with the rubber stoppers it makes a good noise. Climbing seems to be quiet on mine compared to tradition aluminum extension ladders. I’m sure each ladder is different on the exact “creaks and groans” made. Also, there is Velcro that holds it when it’s collapsed. So, that could be considered loud.

Answer:	The ladder is in the RV which is in storage so i cannot be sure. But I just looked at a tape measure. From memory that would be the max space. I would say confidentially it could fit over 3/4 of an inch. Sorry I can't be precise.

Answer:	I don't believe you would have any trouble with it being unstable. I actually got some of those pipe insulation foam sticks (they are about 4 feet long). I cut them to fit and put them around both sides toward the top of the ladder to make it fit tighter.

Answer:	The ladder has hooks that insert into brackets. Be sure select the brackets as well as the ladder. You need to be able to screw the brackets into the edge of the bunk to hold the ladder hooks. The ladder length can be shortened by a tubing cutter or hack saw to customize it for your application.
