Answer:	I do believe you would be able to fit the mattress. the bed frame is a bit larger than the twin mattress and there are no obstructions below the bed that would not allow for one. it's a very clean and simple design. very sturdy, my husband and 3 year old son lay together. the side bars are lower than i wanted at first but they do work.

Answer:	I don't know the exact weight, but I'm like 240 lbs and I've sat on them. I don't know if I would recommend that though. And definitely wouldn't trust me in the actual bed part. The steps should be fine for any size child though.

Answer:	Yes and yes. The gap between all slats is slightly bigger than 3 inches. The middle gap is larger 6 inches. Regardless holds bed and my fat ass up.
Question:	Can the drawers be left out so larger bins can slide underneath
Answer:	ZERO squeaking after 6+ months of ownership. Just make sure you get everything tightened down well. If your activities make it squeak, then it's not a good bed. ;)
Question:	Is the ladder easy to move
Answer:	I'm pretty sure that they are AAs. I have it packed away until my next vacation.

Answer:	The previous responder is utterly wrong. The space is approximately 3" between each slat, except for one larger whole in the middle that is about 5". It is nowhere near 4 and definitely not 4.7".
Question:	Can this stay as a loft bed without the bottom assembly
Answer:	There is a 6.9" spacing of clearance under the bed frame.
