Answer: “Pressboard” is neither a trade term nor is it specific enough to be of much use. A lay term describing hardboard (peg board without the holes), particle board and MDF (medium density fiberboard), both manufactured wood products generally containing granulated wood, binders, silica(that’s right, sand, and lots of it), formaldehyde(linked to serious allergies and other health concerns as outgassing is slow over an extended period), poor moisture resistance eoffering poor structural integrity(the exception being marine MDF). Answer: When you assemble the bed there is a support system in the shape of a cross that runs down the center of the bed just shy of the edge so that its not seen and another one toward the head of the bed so the bed does not sit on the floor.

Answer: Not tall at all, maybe 4 inches of clearance.... so you couldn’t store stuff under your bed if that’s what you’re wondering.

Answer: yes. my bed is very heavy though since i have a temperpedic. be careful from buying from them, i bought the frame and the headboard and they were cracked and chipped and i had 0 responses from the company (i called and emailed multiple times) about exchanging it
