Answer:	I am more inclined to say no.It is really for use as a footrest. I do not know how you will control the up and down movement of this footrest.

Answer:	It does not slide that easily. It has rubber tabs on the bottom that provide a decent grip - just make sure they are kept clean and free from pet fur, for example. I find this to be very nice, well-made product compared to what I had previously.

Answer:	The seat does not slide forward/backwards like a few chairs (including my 10 year old chair) can do, BUT this chair (or at least the 8263 Grey that I have) ABSOLUTELY DOES rock back and forth. The big round knob underneath the chair's seat is used specifically to adjust how much rocking it will do with a certain amount of effort.

Answer:	Yes, this chair comes with a 2-in-1 tool (a small 3-inch L-shaped combination hex wrench/phillips screwdriver on each end). This is the only tool required for the 22 screws that you must install. Everything else is simply 'push to connect, self-locking' assembly, such as the wheels and seat-to-wheelbase..or..it's already pretty much pre-assembled, such as the control knobs and springs. There was nothing difficult to assemble; in fact, the only reason assembly take any feasible amount of time is simply having to turn all those screws, which would have been MUCH faster if you have an electric screwdriver (NOTICE: If you decide to use your electric screwdriver, make sure you have a 6mm hex driver bit in addition to a thick T1 or T2 phillips or flathead (can be either one) driver bit; if I recall, about 18 screws is hex, the rest is phillips).
