| Answer: | An adult can absolutely sit on the Songmics Folding Storage Ottoman. It states on the same Amazon page as the ottoman's picture that it holds up to 660 pounds of static weight. So as long as your adult doesn't rock or sway or try to balance on one bottom edge, it will easily hold an adult. I have seen it hold a 235 pound adult with no wobbling or signs of weakness. It's not padded enough for sitting long stretches, but you could put a throw pillow on top before sitting down. It's a great product, especially for the price!!! Hope this helps! |

| Answer: | At first, yes. It had a very strong vinyl plastic smell though it didn't bother my daughter who is very sensitive to smells. We popped it together on Sunday after Christmas and the smell has lessened noticeably in less than a week. You have to put your nose right up to it to get any kind of smell from it now. It does still smell quite strongly inside the ottoman though I suspect that would fade if you left the lid off for a week. I don't plan to store anything inside it that would pick up the smell so that isn't a huge issue for me. My daughter and I both have severe allergies and this doesn't trigger them if that is a concern. |
