Answer:	Don't know about the ounces, but this is the second Pennsylvania winter that I'm using these sheets. They're very thick and warm and wash up (hot water) great. I'd recommend them. The only con I have is that the pillowcases Do Not fit a king size pillow. The width of the case is extremely short.
