If your mattress is 16" you would have 2" of extra material on a 15-18", but that would not impact the performance of the product. Answer:	No. It is not breathable. Traps body heat in bed in a way that was never an issue until we started using this cover. I like that it’s thin, soft and waterproof, but this sweating issue is intolerable and I will be removing it now.

Answer:	It is cloth. I installed it myself by putting the mattress and box in the vertical position and slipping it on (one for each) like a big wedding dress! Everything went smoothly, and I haven't seen any bed bugs in my place for months. Is This Duvet Cover Machine-Washable?

Yes. Washing is an important step in reducing allergens. When laundering, close the zipper and machine wash the encasing in warm water (or consider using an all-temperature laundry product specially formulated for allergy sufferers). Tumble dry at the lowest setting. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean. The duvet cover is designed to resist shrinkage and maintain the integrity of the pore size through multiple washings. Question:	Re: Eastern King. A new term for me. Does that mean that it is not extra long? As in California King
Answer:	Because the pad is extremely difficult to dry (it comes out of the washer sopping wet with numerous pockets of trapped water that you have to wring out which is very tedious) I use it underneath a regular padded mattress pad so I won't have to wash it. Anything 100% waterproof is going to be a little warmer than normal and be a nightmare to wash and dry. You also run the risk of damaging it. I do not recommend sleeping on it directly under your sheets for these reasons. Other than that, it is a decent cover to protect your mattress.
