Question:	is the mattress incasement thicker than the box spring incasement? if it is....can i use the mattress incasement to cover the box spring
Answer:	They are different materials. The box spring cover is more course, like the material reusable grocery totes are made from. The mattress cover is soft & silky. I imagine you could use the mattress encasement in your box spring, but I would be concerned about wood splinters poking through the material.
Question:	Is it durable? How does it stand up to multiple washings & drying
Answer:	If you're using this to prevent the movement of bed bugs into or out of your mattress (or even just to protect your mattress in the absence of bed bugs) but you still wish to wash this, buy two. One that you leave permantently sealed on your bed (this brand) and one that is over it that you wash (different one, not water proof). While this handles great with washing and drying (I have washed and dried twice without any loss of life), the washing process throws your washing machine around (as this is water proof inside), and the drying process takes multiple no-heat air dries, plus all day of having this propped open over furniture.
Question:	Does this mattress cover make crinkle noises when you move around on it
Answer:	I disagree with other reviewers-- it does make a noise-- it's a soft noise but it does crinkle and feel a little papery. Might get another mattress topper to put on top so it's not as noticeable.

Answer:	I'm in my 60s, have been sleeping on it for years, with my padded matress cover under it. Answer:	Not at all. It's just like having an additional sheet covering the mattress.
Question:	Is this vinyl because it's for a bed for a patient in a Nursing Home
Answer:	There is a vinyl version that also sells for the same price, but this is the 'polyester fabric' version , which is basically microfiber with a thin soft rubbery sealant on the back of the fabric on top. This does repel dampness and sweat reasonably well, but I haven't tested it against large spills or bodily fluids, yet. I do have this on my own bed, and love the feel of it. It's a soft fabric that doesn't crinkle like the vinyl does.

Answer:	No, it's not noisy at all. I have both the box spring and the mattress for my queen sized bed covered, and there's absolutely no noise. I don't even know its there until I change the sheets. I should also add that it might seem to be superfluous if you have no reason to think you'd have a bed bug problem. I would not have even thought of it until I read the terms of my lease. It expressly stated that the property owner would have no liability should there be any issue with bed bugs. I have never experienced bed bugs, but when I read that disclaimer, it occurred to me that I was moving into an apartment that the previous tenants had lived in. Suppose the prior tenants introduced bed bugs via their mattresses? That would be my problem, not the property owners, under the terms of my lease. Although the magnitude of the risk might be low, the consequences would be terrible, and it would be entirely my problem to solve, under the terms of my lease. So if it turned out there were bud bugs left from a prior tenant, these products would at least ensure that the bugs would not be able to take up residence in my high quality mattress and box springs. Fortunately, there has been no evidence of bedbugs, but I still keep the covers on. They also keep dust from soiling the box spring and mattress over time.

Answer:	essentially it keeps bed bugs from getting inside the mattress or ones that are already inside (if that's the case) from getting out. at the point where the zippers close on most matress covers there are holes where the bugs can get in and out, on a bed bug mattress cover the point where the zipper closes is covered and sealed with a zip tie.

Answer:	The cover is very deep, much deeper than I require for my mattress, but don't know exactly how deep. It is made of heavy-duty cotton and does NOT make noise during sleep. It is pretty wonderful, actually.

Answer:	Common places for the bedbug infestations (where they "hide" when they're not biting you) is in the mattress and box springs. This is the ideal location, because of the proximity to their food source - your blood. Answer:	We have used a similar item on our bed for years.... it is not hot

Answer:	It could be used as a sheet but I wouldn’t recommend it. Since it is an encasement zippered cover, it would be difficult to remove to launder on a regular basis.

Answer:	Yes, it will be very loose, I put it on a 13 inch and it was loose.
Question:	Does it make that crinkly noise
Answer:	No it does not make a crinkly noise. It is not a plastic type material. It is a good quality. You would not be disappointed.

Answer:	I used to be sensitive (not hyper-sensitive) to what I believe you are asking. I have a sheet directly on top of the protector. If you would use a fitted mattress pad on top of it you would not be able to tell it was there at all. It is all the same material, top, sides and bottom. It is not noisy. It does hold a little air until you lay on it. It barely raises the temperature, however it's still winter and I've not had it long. It is too big for my 10" mattress and wrinkles under my sheet, which is the only thing I find annoying. I'm thinking of hemming it up to fit snuggly. If you have a foam or memory foam mattress it will take a little longer for the foam to recover after laying on it. All in all I like it for what it's worth. I bought a new mattress and wanted to ensure I did not go through the horrors of a possible bed bug infestation. As soon as I feel comfortable I'm taking it off the bed. I've used cheaper protectors and they were horrid! This one is definitely worth the money for what I needed it for. I hope my answer helped.
