Answer:	Everyone's opinion is different but we feel that this comforter is not too thick and not too thin either, it is in the middle.

Answer:	It's warm enough for cold nights, and light enough for the warm nights. Looks very nice, my only concern is the stitching I have little dogs that like to play on the bed, so I turn it over for them so they wont tug on the stitching.

Answer:	It’s a comforter, not a duvet cover. It doesn’t open/close.

Answer:	It’s a good weight not heavy like a quilt, but heavier that some. I fold it down at night to keep it looking brand new, so I can’t answer based on being under it. I wouldn’t think it would be overly heavy though. It’s not to heavy that it’s hard to make up my king sized bed in the morning.
