Answer:	The comforter is 2-3 inches thick, but not heavy. In my opinion, it is a nice bedding set for the cost. I always keep a blanket at the end of all of our beds on top in case someone gets chilly. It is a very easy care set as well. The comforter fits in our washing machine. It has not faded with washing either. It looks exactly as pictured and is nice that it is reversible. We have this set on a full mattress and it will also fit a queen size. My suggestion if you think you like it is to make the purchase. You can always return it if it is not what you expected since returns are so easy on Amazon.
