Answer:	Yes. What I do is wash them on gentle cycle with Woolite, then dry them on low heat for about 30 minutes, then air fluff (no heat) for an additional 20 minutes.
Question:	Can you buy the controllers separately? The controllers now get really hot and my son in law doesn't feel they are safe now

Answer:	Yes it does.

Answer:	i had this blanket for 10 yrs and would wash on warm and tumble dry low...keep rotating the blanket every 30 min. in the dryer so it evenly dries.

Answer:	Just call warranty service and they will replace it, mine just died after 2 years and they are sending a new one. Plug the suspect controller into the other side of the blanket to make sure it isn't the blanket itself. Warranty is 5 years, great product and service.

Answer:	I haven't had the blanket for very long and I usually do not use it at the higher settings so the controllers have stayed cool. I also turn them off as soon as I am out of the bed. So I don't know if the controllers of your son in law were faulty initially or if they got that way with constant use. It could be an issue to consult with the manufacturer through the internet. Gadgets that convert household current to low voltage to charge say cell phones or rechargable cell batteries do get hot if left plugged in for very long periods of time after charging. They usually recommend to unplug them after use.

Answer:	Just bad luck. Use cool water, gentle cycle by itself. Cool dryer? Love mine.

Answer:	Our blanket did the same thing —- not heating until unplugged and plugged in again. My husband called the manufacturer and explained the problem. They knew exactly what was wrong and sent us a set of new controls. Now, our blanket works perfectly. We have to return the old (original) controls to the manufacturers. Question:	Can you sleep on the electric blanket
Answer:	I bought mine in January or February of 2014. It seemed to not work as well for a few weeks, but maybe that was user error. I am still using it this winter & it seems to work really well.
Question:	How long is the wire that you plug into the wall
Answer:	The functions of the blanket are on the control unit. Directions are included with the blanket. You press the buttons for the desired results.As for the ability to use alternate controllers, I don't know. But with other controllers, you probably can't do all that this blanket does, i.e., set it to preheat at a particular time or turn off at a certain time. Just being able to turn it on or off, perhaps you can.
Question:	How do i set the auto off timer
Answer:	My queen size came with 2 control units on it and the instructions are inadequate.. i just pulled it out of the box so i dont know it its an either or has to be turned on or if it controls different sides.. couldn’t tell ya...
Question:	How do I set the temperature level
Answer:	Yes, If your blanket has the Choice Touch Controller then the blanket can be programmed to come on each night by using the preheat function. You have to first set the clock (there is a switch on the underside of the control, move it to Time and set the clock using the + and - buttons), then move the switch to preheat (again the switch is on the bottom of the control and pick a preheat time using the + and - buttons). After these are both set put the switch on the bottom of the controller back in the center position. Turn the controller on and use the mode button until Preheat flashes then the + button until it shows both Preheat and the time. That should set it. The preheat will come on at the time you set and will preheat for 30 minutes then go to the original control setting. Hope this helps.

Answer:	For safety concern, you cannot sleep on the blanket,you can only place the blanket on the part of your body you want to heat.

Answer:	You should ask "How long is the cord from the blanket's connection to the controller? It's about 2 feet! The blanket's connection is in a corner of the blanket! You obviously wouldn't place the connection corner near your head. If the connection is at any other corner, you'd have to get out of bed to use the controller!
Question:	How do you set the autoshut off it says you can set 1-10hrs to auto shut off
Answer:	Press the Mode Button. When “* hrs” starts to flash on the bottom right of the screen, press the Timer Button to select timer from 1-12hrs. After the selected time flashes 5 times and stays solid on, the auto off timer is set successfully.
Question:	Why does nobody answer any of the questions about the dimensions of the actual blanket?! who cares about the package dimensions
Answer:	Press the Mode Button. When “H” starts to flash on the top left of the screen, press the Temp Button to select temperature from 1~9 & H levels (highest level: “H”). After the selected level flashes 5 times and stays solid on, the temperature level is set successfully. If the temperature level is set above level 4 (5~H), the blanket will work under the set level for 1 hour and then turns to level 4 automatically.

Answer:	10 hour auto shutoff (1 hour increment). To adjust auto shut off time, turn OFF the controller, press and hold DOWN button until the screen shows a number with an "H" next to it. Press UP or DOWN to adjust desire shut off time. Press POWER to save & exit.
