If you have a dual wire cable of similar type to the antenna cable, meaning about the same thickness conductors and the same spacing between the two wires you can connect the extension of the antenna cable. You can in other words not connect a two conductor Zip wire and expect reasonable results. The Zip cable is not a good conductor of the signals from the antenna. This is only true if you live some more than 15 -20 miles away from the transmitter. if you live closer you can do very little wrong. Do whatever you like. it will not matter much. HJW. the signals should be strong enough for any type connection.
