Do these cloths bleed color

Answer:

No. I was pleasantly surprised that there was absolutely no bleeding the first time I washed them. I even put two Shout Color Catcher sheets in the wash that first time because I really thought that they would bleed. But, the Color Catcher sheets came out white. These are great washcloths. I like the material, the colors, and the little hanging tab. Wish I had replaced my old washcloths much sooner.

Answer:	With these I think I’ll have to toss them. I’ve found that when the sticks get thourouly saturated they don’t pick up new scent. So even turned the absorption is lessened. But truthfully I did not even think of flopping them...I just really like the natural organic shapes. Thanks for making me think about that.

Answer:	Actually, they are quite thin and lots of 'loose threads' upon opening the package. I wasn't going to throw them away .... so I've used them. I will say that they are very durable!

Answer:	The trick to absorbancy is to avoid fabric softeners completely. My other warning is that these towels bleed dye. Forever. The instructions say not to put the dishcloths in hot or soapy water. Now, what on earth were they thinking when they chose this fabric and dye for dishcloths that go into hot, soapy water as part of the job they do?! See my previous posting on how to get most of the excessive dye out of the dishcloths.
