Answer:	The bristles seem to be a medium stiffness - effective yet have some give. I think it's a really good brush.

Answer:	There is no way to remove it and I used to put the toilet brush back into the holder immediately after use. Then, one day this past summer, we couldn't figure out what the smell was in our bathroom. Mind you, although we have central AC and a bathroom fan, this was an extremely hot, humid summer in NE. Nevertheless, I realized that it was the holder, not the brush, that we were smelling. I was mortified because I tend to be overly clean as far as housecleaning is concerned. I threw the whole unit away and ordered a new one. I now let the brush dry, over the bathroom sink, and then put it in the container. Then I wash the sink. And I also wash the drip tray portion the best I can. I still think OXO makes the best set for this purpose.

Answer:	NO! I have one of each and they are NOT 100% identical. I bought the Thirsty/Pamooq towel a few months ago and wanted to buy another one now that I can see how well its held up after quite a few washings. As it's no longer available I recently bought this one with the Salbakos label instead. The border finish on the long ends is completely different, so I doubt that they are made by the same factory in Turkey. Having said that though they're almost 100% identical, except that the latter (the Salbakos) is marginally softer with zero difference in absorbency as far as I can tell. I'm very satisfied with both and would buy either of them again!
