Answer:	The Metro shelf has lugs and is designed to be inset in tile with thin set and grouted into new tile construction. We do have other flat back versions that are designed to be installed over existing finished tile utilizing tape and epoxy adhesive. We also have installation instructions included with the shelf packaging and there is a video on our Geo flatback shelf to aid with installation.

Installation Instructions for your lugged bath accessory:

Following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. (SOLD SEPARATELY)
Set wall tile to height shelf will be located.
Trowel a layer of adhesive on the lugs (teeth) of each shelf prior to placing on the combed adhesive bed to obtain 100% coverage.
Lugs should be pushed into adhesive to ensure good contact. The shelf’s back should overlap the wall tile.
Continue wall installation around the shelf, noting that the shelf’s back should overlap the wall tile.
Tape the shelf in place until adhesive bonds.

Note: Do NOT beat in with the butt-end of the trowel.

Answer:	Foam pads were included with mine. I used them only as spacers. The dish is held in place with epoxy and the tiles.

3 Step Installation Instructions

No Drill Installation - Our 1-2-3 step installation makes it easy to install over existing tile and bathroom surfaces without damaging your tile

STEP 1: Use double sided tape and place on the specified areas on the back of accessory – remove paper tabs before installation. Following the construction adhesive manufacturer’s instructions, apply adhesive along guideline on back edges of accessory.

STEP 2: Press and hold the shelf in place to ensure it adheres to the tile. Use a level to check accurate placement of the shelf before applying the tape for support.

STEP 3: After epoxy adhesive is applied and the part is positioned, it can be supported using painters tape for 24 hours until the adhesive sets up sufficiently to form a final bond.
