I did try to slide it, but found it to be stable as long as I wasn't lifting it on the edge. I would think that using many of them might increase the chance of "lifting" the edge and then possibly sliding. Personally, I find this to be as stable as mats with suction cups.

Answer:	You can not open or close a door..it slides. I use it in my mud room. I have something laid down as you open the door, but I put the runner in front of a swing so people could take their shoes off. It works really well and very easy to wash, plus it protects my floors.
Question:	Does this stick to a tile shower floor
Answer:	There is no rubber backing; however, there is a non-skid texture on the bottom that holds them in place. I have four and none of them slip on my tile nor my wood floors. I do have other rugs that have backing and a few that I had to purchase backing for but these rugs are really perfect just how they are. They never slip on my floors I enjoy how soft they are beneath my feet.
Question:	Is your tub mat all pride 019 16 x 28 made in the USA
Answer:	The underside isn’t abrasive so it should work on all surfaces without scratching. I just edited my review to include an image of the back of the mat; when it is approved and goes live, you can see what the bottom looks like if you can find that image. I am buying another for my kitchen which has hardwood floors and have 0 worries it will make any scratches or damage the floor at all.
Question:	My tub has a slight texture. Will it work on that surface
Answer:	It is about 56x18 after a few washings
