First make sure power to the fixture is off and be sure to pay attention when taking existing light down and on wiring attach white to white, black to black, and ground/green together and make sure wires are tight and use wire nuts so no wiring is exposed or touching each other. Answer:	Hi Heidi, I purchased 4 of these units and they worked great. I only had 3.5" of space between the sheet rock and the roof sheathing and they fit just fine. Very compact unit, all I did was run my wire to where I wanted the light fixture, cut a hole in the sheet rock, connected the unit and slipped it into the hole.

Answer:	3" height - you won't have any problem with 5" clearance. I just installed four in a ceiling with 2x4 rafters (so 4" of clearance if you include the drywall thickness)

Answer:	It's best to check the documents that came with the Globe Electric 12784 LED Floor Lamp for ordering parts. If nothing was included, my recommendation is to contact Globe Electric directly for information regarding parts and repair.

Answer:	According to the lamp product box it says the color temperature is 3000k which is a warm white.
Question:	Is there any hack to get it working with an outlet switch
Answer:	As of April 2019 after 2 weeks of constant use, this Globe Electric 3000 lamp works just fine with wall switch that turns on AC outlet. Don’t listen to any comments or reviews that say otherwise. It works perfectly with light switch on wall with 2-3 seconds delay. And the lamp does remember the last brightness setting. I have not needed to adjust lamp again ever since I set it up on the day I put it up. Just use wall switch, on and off, every night.
Question:	How does this compare to the Brightech torchiere lights that are being sold on amazon
Answer:	I actually own both lamps. I thought the Globe lamp would be a bit brighter because it draws 43 watts vs 30 watts for the Brightech. I would say the two lamps are comparable in brightness, but the Globe might be slightly brighter. At the time I purchased the Globe was about $10 cheaper. The Globe is a bit heavier probably due to a somewhat heavier base for the most part. As you may know, the Brightech is gimbaled so it will tilt about 15 degrees. The Globe has NO gimbaled head. The stand of the Globe is a bit thicker. As near as I can tell, the Globe lamp is strictly on/off. Again, as you may know, the Brightech switch has about four intensity level settings. YOU MAY WISH TO KNOW: The first Globe lamp I bought seemed to have a slightly defective switch. Sometimes I would turn it on, remove my hand, and it would go off instantly. Sometimes I had to turn it on several times before it would stay on. However, it would then generally stay on. Amazon replaced the first lamp free of charge. The replacement Globe arrived today and so far has functioned properly. I also have a second Globe lamp. The switch on it has given me no trouble. Perhaps I somehow didn't quite get the first Globe assembled tightly enough (as opposed to the switch being defective. I am capable of stunning incompetence, but I tend to think the switch on the first Globe really did have a problem. Oh, the Globe comes in two colors -- black or white. I can't recall if there is a choice with the Brightech. Hopefully, this info will be of some value.

Answer:	It’s pretty short as it is. It would need quite a bit of work to shorten as the pole has the attachments at both ends and wiring through it. If you’re looking for a hugger fan this isn’t it. Also it runs hot so I would not put it too close to the ceiling to allow ventilation. Finally the majority of the height is in the motor housing not the down rod.

Answer:	Technically a small incline yes, but in practice the downrod is small, cables are short and the fan blades are very long. Which means you would have clearance issues on the lower side. 14 inch drop with a 52 inch width, Pythagoras tells us... its a small angle anything over 15 degrees is hitting.

Answer:	Yes. It comes with an 18"towel bar, a towel ring, curved ring and a hook. I sent it back because it was too small for my bathroom.
Question:	Is the light fixture reversible so that the lights shine upward
Answer:	Thank you for your question. The light was not originally designed to point upward but as long as it is properly secured to the wall, there shouldn't be an issue with installing it in that manner.
