Answer:	It holds only 100ml of water (1/10 of a liter) so, though it's lovely & I enjoy mine, it doesn't do much to scent a 680 sq ft apartment. Even using a little extra oil, it gives only a faint scent unless enclosed in the bedroom or bathroom.

However, the "On" button does have a slight green light so you know when it's on, so if you need total pitch-blackness for sleep, this might be disruptive for you. Answer:	It really depends on your recipe. Yes, you absolutely can use this. It's similar to olive oil in how it behaves in that kind of recipe. Mixing this with sugar (or salt) will result in something very nice, no different than the oil-based scrubs with olive oil you find in the stores, except without the stuff you don't want in there. You could also use unrefined coconut oil, the kind you find in the grocery store that is solid at room temperature. Except that your screen name indicates you might live in the South, where coconut oil may be liquid at room temp because it's hot lol. That will create a creamier product, but one that is relatively unstable due to the fact that the oil can melt and re-solidify, causing the salt or sugar to clump at the bottom. If you want a creamy product, look to using whipped cocoa, shea, or mango butter, combined with fractionated coconut, argan, or jojoba, and of course your salt or sugar. Or finely-ground coffee... hmmmm...
