| Question: | Why can't you use it for more than 15 mintues? Is it dangerous? I am confused |
| Answer: | I don't recall reading that in the instructions, but I have definitely used mine for hours. For me, the heat does become uncomfortable after awhile, and so I prefer to not use that feature. And I have fallen asleep on mine, with no issue. But maybe the product could potentially over heat...? It has a pre-set shut off time, which is never long enough for me, so I restart it over and over again. And maybe after the 5th time, the kneading function will cease working, (vibration continues to work), and then I know it's time to let it cool down. After letting it sit for a period, it works again just fine. So to answer your question... no, I don't think it is dangerous. But if you use it repeatedly, don't use the heat, and immediately shut it off if you hear grinding, or "not-normal" sounds, or smell any burning. You may be demanding too much of it. Having said that, I have pushed mine to that point over and over again for a year and although it is breaking down finally... it actually still works. I'm extremely impressed that it has lasted that long and held up to the abuse I put it through. I have used it to the point where it has created burns, (like a rug burn), on my skin... And that could be the other reason they recommend limiting use to 15 mins. If you stay in the same spot and bear all your weight on it... it will start to create a burn on your skin. Keep in mind, this is NOT how it is supposed to be used. But for me, the relief from muscle spasms is well worth the minor skin irritation, and to get that relief, I have to lay my entire 180 pounds onto it. The fact that I have been able to do that over and over again speaks to the quality of this item. I highly recommend it, and I am buying another one!! |

The massager does not stay in one that long and does Auto shut-off. but if you're looking for something that is comfortable to lay on when you're laying down you may want something that's a little softer. |

| Answer: | The unit is made in China. I cannot tell what the gears are made of without tearing it apart. The cutting teeth are metal. You will be opening and closing the unit often because as the paper builds up in the shredder it stops working until you either push the paper down or empty the unit. It does shred very well and I have yet had to stop shredding because the unit overheated. |

| Answer: | The opening is sized for an 8 1/2” wide piece of paper, so you’d have to fold these in half to fit. You’d only be able to shred 3-6 sheets at a time then. 3 would be quick, but the more sheets, the slower it goes. |

| Answer: | I am not sure it will. My friends wife is 5' and she said it was to tall and she could not reach the neck massage rollers comfortably. But you can try it out at Bed Bath and Beyond. I have been to 3 different stores and all of them has had a display you can try out. |

| Answer: | fwiw- My older model is 10yrs old at least and started to make noises a year ago, its track or bearings going out I guess? The older ones are built tough, its been through a lot with my 200+ lb body and many times on real bad days I ran it 3-4 times straight without resting it when I hurt so bad. Its manual says only run 2 times, not sure on this model yet but I've had 2 Home Medics with great track records. First was their earliest model and was the cheapest they offered with vibrating massage only, no Shiatsu. Wife still uses it and the Shiatsu version is next to our recliner plugged in it at all times as we both use it many times weekly. It helps keep me walking even with 7 discs bad (3 neck/3 lumbar & one between shoulders) so ya' top to bottom. Probably more even my last MRI was 2006. Toss in a major spinal cord injury and a broken neck at age 21 (almost 60 now) so' ya saying I use these a lot is an understatement but never needed their warranty once so far. They're tough!! |
