We have noticed misinformation about palmitic acid in sea buckthorn circulating and we just want to over a few basics with you. Palmitic acid is the most common fatty acid found in plants and animals. It already exists naturally in our bodies. Our bodies can create palmitic acid with excess carbohydrates and our bodies use these fat cells to store energy.There have been clinical studies that show that isolated palmitic acid in high amounts can be harmful. Under the circumstances of a lab setting, palmitic acid can do some damage but those circumstances are completely different than when you eat palmitic acid in a natural way (not isolated or in high amounts).That’s because when palmitic acid is in its natural state (alongside other nutrients and vitamins) it is not harmful in the least. Not to mention that the chances of you ever getting isolated palmitic acid in your body is slim to none; unless of course you are a lab rat. Unfortunately, there are some companies who have chosen to misrepresent this information in order to sell products. Answer:	Hi Debbie, Thank you for asking and, indeed, alerting me to the ingredients!!! I am generally very careful about reading lables but somehow missed this one. I just assumed it was "pure" omega-3 given how contraditory it would be to use sunflower oil, even if it is gno. The print is quite small! Fortunately, I eat quite a bit of flaxseeds, which should help counetract the high omega-6 content in the supplement. However, based on your alert, I plan on looking for a different vegan omega-3 product. Thank you!

Answer:	Taking algae oil has cured my dry eye problem. It has also helped with my minor joint pains. I researched dry eye in an effort to avoid the expensive prescription drops my doctor suggested. I saw that omega 3 could help and algae oil totally worked. I think it is probably true that my dry eye problems were a symptom of an omega 3 deficiency - so taking algae oil is just resolving the deficiency rather than a magical cure for dry eye.
