Answer:	The box states that it is "New Shelf Stable" and requires no refrigeration. It is non GMO and contains no dairy/egg ingredients....think that is what made it require refrigeration before. I keep it at room temp and trust it is doing its job!

Answer:	If you're opening the enteric-coating capsules, you're missing the whole point and just killing all the probiotics in stomach acid, so save yourself the subterfuge of "sneaking". The strains contained here need to be protected from stomach acid to be viable, so if a capsule cannot be taken you'd be better off feeding yogurt/ kefir instead

Answer:	I like to use this brand (Jarrow Dophilus EPS) because it has a good and varied amount of probiotic strains compared to other mid-range products like it. Also, I really like that it is shelf-stable. Because each capsule is blister-sealed individually in protective plastic, you don't need to worry about keeping it refrigerated, which is very helpful to those who travel a lot. I've tried other brands with more strains, but I have never tried the ULTRA Jarrow. Reading its label, it does have a higher number of different strains. But I've been using probiotic products for so many years now, to keep me well, and I've not noticed any significant difference among them all. I would venture to say that if you have a compromised immune system, possibly from taking lots of antibiotics which kill off the GOOD bacteria inside you as well as the bad, possibly the ones like the ULTRA with higher quantities may give you more protection.

Answer:	5 Billion CFU per capsule total of the two strains. These are unique strains of probiotics not found in other products that I could find.

Answer:	Most likely it will be at best less effective and at worst "useless". If the manufacturer indicates "Keep Refrigerated" on the package it is because heat kills the probiotics. That said, how will capsules that require refrigeration fair once they've been swallowed and are in a warm tummy? Some foods require refrigeration only after opening because once the packaging seal is broken and they are exposed to air/heat/etc bad bacteria can grow, but that can't be the case with good bacteria that need cool temps to survive. If they get too warm and die they are not resurrected in the fridge after the bottle is opened. Anyhow, the manufacturer now makes a shelf stable (and vegetarian) version of this product. I returned the warm bottle I got and will order the "new and improved" version to make the temperature question moot.
