Can a daily multivitamin alone provide the same vision benefits as an AREDS 2 formulation?

No. The vitamins and minerals tested in the AREDS and AREDS2 trials were provided in much higher doses than what is found in multivitamins. What Is AMD?

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a disease associated with aging that gradually destroys sharp, central vision.
