They have a thin plastic strip located on a small flap that you peel off to reveal a clear strip of adhesive, then you simply press the flap down. They are very durable bags and are more like a cellophane type of material rather than a zip lock bag material. I hope this helps!

Answer:	By actual measurement: Each cup is 2.5 inches square by 1.5 inches deep.

Answer:	It will if you buy the box mix that says it'll make the 9x13 (I think that's the largest one) pan. I accidently bought the box mix that was for the 8x8 or 9x9 square pans and I had to leave a few of the square holders empty or the brownies would have been very thin.
