Answer:	The L-lysine is derived from corn fermentation. This process starts with isolating dextrose from corn which is then fed to micro-organisms that produce the nutrients, and the nutrients are then isolated and purified away from the starting materials. While no corn proteins or sugar remain in the final product Pure Encapsulations does not routinely test for corn allergens and therefore they would not be able to guarantee its safety for someone with a corn allergy.

Answer:	Most amino acids have a salty taste and will not work well when mixing with juices or sweet flavored drinks.

Answer:	The Ascorbyl Palmitate in this product is made in China. I know their website doesn't list China as a source for their "nothing but pure" ingredients but if you call or email their customer service you will find that all their vitamin C is sourced from China. Specifically the answer I received was: ascorbyl palmitate made in China, ascorbic acid made in China, buffered ascorbic acid manufactured in the USA. I am guessing that this buffered ascorbic acid is manufactured with ascorbic acid made in China. This is why the above answer only states "manufactured in" Massachusetts since at least one of their ingredients is made in China. I would call to see if the actual l-lysine is made in China.
