Answer:	I am not sure of the old copper lube formula, but you can find the new one by searching its safety data sheet. Since they are copper lubes, there main effective ingredient must be copper. 3M may change the complementary ingredients over time. It is possible that the old formula is better than the new one. But it would be very hard to find scientific evidents to support it. Copper brake lube is not the only brake lube. If you have doubts about it, for the peace of the mind you may use alternatives, such as Molykote M77. In case you switch to Molykote, be careful not to apply it to the wrong places. That stuff is very difficult to remove.

Answer:	It actually is thick. My wife prefers this gel because she says it's "workable". It really is. I dilute ours with KY Liquid to the point we both like it. Also, if you don't use the whole bottle of warming gel after a couple of months, it will clog up in the bottle and won't come out when you need it most. At that point, if you will add some KY Liquid to it and shake it well (or just a little water if you don't have the liquid) it will loosen up the warming gel enough to get it to squeeze out of the bottle and it will come out easily again.
