We use a combination or air and high resilience foam to provide comfort and and support to make our product as comfortable as possible. When inflated it is approximately 2 inches thick. When on the ground the air provides an additional layer of protection against rocks and anything else that may get caught underneath. When in a hammock the foam and taffeta cover will provide additional insulation and warmth. With 2 quick release valves , inflating and deflating are simple and fast.
