Set and tighten the adjusting bolts. 3. Check fit: With the bottom of the crutches slightly outside and in front of the patient's feet, the patient should be able to lean forward comfortably, resting on the underarm supports. Crutches should not be so long that the patient must stand completely erect. Caution: Have your doctor or therapist demonstrate the proper use. Answer:	I’m not an amputee so can’t answer this from that perspective. I have an Robbie that doesn’t straighten post 90 degrees and a shoulder that suffered bone and soft tissue damage. I have used these style of crutches and this particular one, every time I’ve had leg injuries. I used it for 9 weeks when I was non weight bearing. It is definitely the most comfortable crutch I have ever used. It took all the pressure of my elbow and shoulder.

Answer:	I did the same thing. I was under the impression that it came with two and only received one. You have to put quantity 2 in order to get 2 of them.

Answer:	I use two zip ties (hooked end to end) to go around the "bent out" area at the end of one of the cuffs. I can easily slip my hands in and out, and when I lift the crutches, without holding on, they do not fall off my arms. And the plastic zip ties hey last forever. Hope this helps

Question:	Hi the hand grip is it harc plastic
Answer:	My grips were thick foam not plastic, they supported me well were durable. I am 6'4" was 310 poounds at the time. The forearm piece is a rubber like material. You need to adjust each side to fit. My right forearm is larger then my left i squeezed the left one to fit. Due to the way I was initially walking neede one side longer than the other. I used a permanent marker marker an R and L on the top end cap to keep from mixing them up. I did need to replace the bottom rubber pieces after two months not an issue they cost under $5 for the pair at the local pharmacy. I don't need them any more I have donated them to the local VFW they are still getting used by big guys and holding up well. A great buy!!
