| Answer: | There actually are not any "good until" dates. I don't think they go bad. The pellets are called "molecular sieves" and are definitely not to be ingested. So they don't actually have a good until date. I would guess they would be good until they start to disintegrate. They are made to be reactivated by cooking them to remove the retained moisture. The blue pellets are just to let you know it is time to remove the moisture from all the pellets. So when the blue pellets become white you poor all the pellets in a pyrex, glass or ceramic dish and bake them in a preheated oven at 350 degree oven for 30 minutes and then in 10 minute intervals until the blue pellets turn blue again. Then you let them cool and poor them back in the jar and they are ready to go again. I hope this helps. |

Most beads will have an orange/yellowish tint which means the desiccant is ready to use.Conventional Oven:Remove desiccant pod from container and bake, screen side up, for 1 hour at 200F (93F), or until beads are orange. The area that dries the hearing aids is a good size and should be big enough for any hearing aid. I open up my hearing battery compartment and leave the battery in when I use the dryer. I asked my hearing aide specialist, as well as my ENT, and this is all that is needed to disinfectant for use in the ear, since it is used for the same person .I hope this helps you. |
