| Answer: | The table is generally good quality materials, but there are two small brackets welded to the main support pedestal that the table top bolts to that are critical to whether the top slopes down from the pedestal to the free hanging end of the top. The weld quality is probably OK, but the placement of the brackets appears to be the problem. I had checked the previous reviews before I bought this table, and noticed that there were multiple comments about the top sloping down, and some had added washers below the top to solve the problem. When I receive my table, the first thing I did was to check the table top and the top of the pedestal to see what the problem was, and if it varied from table to table. I found the brackets on mine were OK on the outside of the pedestal (Opposite the long part of the table, but the bracket toward the inside (long side of table) was at least 1/16" lower on the pedestal than the flush location where the brackets should have been welded. I made a trip to the hardware store to buy some washers before I assembled the table. I bought a couple of flat standard washers and a couple of lock washers. I ended up needing only the lock washers, but regular washers would have worked as well. I wanted to have a few options to make it work, and just adding the two lock washers did the trick. After completing the assembly according to the instructions, except for adding the lock washers between the table top and the brackets on the two bolts on the long side of the table top. This leveled the table top to avoid the sagging long end noted by others for less than a dollar. Although I would recommend the table manufacturer change their welding jigs so the 1/16" gap can be reduced to level with the pedestal top, I doubt that the manufacturer really cares or it would have already been fixed. The 1/4" diameter lock washers or standard washers are common enough that many people would have them in a toolbox or in a collection of common fasteners frequently accumulated by home owners, I had given mine away when I moved from my house to the senior housing I now live in. But I have a couple of spares in my toolbox now if ever needed. |

If I understand you correctly, you're looking for the inside measurement inside the 2 open ends of the U-shaped base. This measurement would tell you how wide of a chair you could use with this table. There's a very small, slightly rounded part on the inside corners of the bottom/closed end of the U. The inside measurement at the bottom is 26". The inside base measurement on the open end is 26.25". |

Since the overbed table is meant to slide over beds, it is deliberately made with only 1 supporting pole underneath the tabletop. Therefore in order to ensure that weight gets evenly distributed across the tabletop when a user placed certain objects on the table, the product is made with a slight tilt upwards. The 2-3 degrees angle should be hardly noticeable to the eyes and will allow the table to be leveled once objects are placed on the tabletop. However, where you place the object on the table also affects the tilt. If the item is placed at the edge of the table - opposite from where the stand is - the tilt will be more pronounced than when you place it in the middle of the table. If you have received a table with a tilt of more than 2-3 degrees, you may have received a defective product. This may be due to welding/assembly issues. | Answer: | Hmmmm - I have no idea where they are measuring. I measure the gait belt as 53 inches long when open, so it would fit a waist nearly that big around. You would want a few inches of strap beyond the buckle. The widest part of the black cloth is about 3.9 inches high, and the vertical blue straps are about 5.2 inches when flat. We like this gait belt! The patient finds it comfortable, and she can put it on herself with limited use of one hand. As caregiver, I find it much easier to grab quickly if the need arises, compared to a standard gait belt. |

I do this w/my mom while assisting her into her transport chair, so i can hold the chair while grabbing the belt hoop after sliding it around so i have a firm grib on her. the material is sturdy and makes it easy to slide/shift it around the body. thats y u need leaway. hope this makes sense. by far this is a fantastic gait belt. i highly recommend it. worth every penny! |

| Answer: | Several possibilities occur: 1. My wife's belt has about 11" excess, and we usually just let it hang down. It is another hand hold since considerable pull does not seem to cause slippage at the buckle. 2. Just tuck the loose end in over the belt. 3. The end of the belt is folded over its self twice (giving three thicknesses about 5/8" long) and sewn across. This gives a finished end which will not pull back through the buckle. You could cut off the desired length and duplicate the present end. Be sure to heat seal the cut end to prevent raveling. |

| Answer: | Ok, I will give this a shot: the base is fixed, but is low enough to fit under either side of a bed, so there is no "left hand" or "right hand" that would require that you change the unit's fixed position in the frame, i.e. the vertical bar is attached to the base and the table doesn't spin, but it really doesn't need to. The table's heighth is adjusted on the vertical bar. The table tilts via an assembly underneath, which is hidden in the picture. | Answer: | Base thickness is a touch over 3/4", actually 20mm as everything's metric. However, there are bolts that attach the vertical support to the base. Per the installation instructions, this will have the bolt protruding out the bottom about 10mm. If, instead, you install the bolt upside down, the bolt head is about 3mm. On a carpet this is no problem, but on a hard floor, you'll need to install some "feet" to raise the base off the floor, or the bolt heads will rub against the floor. a rubber or felt "foot" on the corners and other places _should_ work fine. |

Depending on the size of your monitor bases and the size of your monitor screens it would be a tough fit to get them situated properly on the top of desk especially with a keyboard added. Also, monitors are top heavy vs their bases so if you pushed the table over tile with deeper grooves or very thick carpet there's a good chance that the monitors could fall over. |
