However, if the mattress is not firm, or has anything "non-standard" about it, such as it is a TempurPedic, memory foam, or air mattress, or if there is some type of padding that has been added to the bed, this 10" x 30" sensor pad may not properly register the body at all times. This can cause false alarms, or majorly delayed alerts. If your "patient" moves fairly quickly they may be already out the door before you can get to them. I also found after using this mat a couple of weeks that the alarm did not always sound. I don't know if the mat was defective or the wireless signal was faulty. I had to stop using the mat and switch to a wireless motion sensor. |

Turn the monitor switch to "Chime" and when you are not monitoring the mat, turn the monitor to "OFF". The monitor and mat were already synched when delivered, so it was a simple process to set up and these items. It has been a great purchase so far! |
