Answer:	My bed has an 8" foam mattress (encased in mattress fabric) resting on the Bed Assist, which rests on an elevated 3/4" plywood platform. Works fine for me; I weigh 275#.If you experience slippage, stores such as Target sell various-sized panels of very thin non-slip, textured foam, which you can layer above and/or beneath the Bed Assist.

Answer:	Ours came new and undamaged, although the matching furniture had to be sent back once as the metal pieces had become dented during shipping.

Answer:	this chair has lots of room............very comfortable. it was very easy to assemble and was the easiest one i could see to empty.....just lift the seat and the pail has handles to pick it right up. i highly recommend it.
Question:	Can this be used over a regular toilet instead of with the commode
Answer:	In searching how to use splash guard, I discovered it is like a funnel that is used when using commode over toilet. The guard "replaces" the bedside commode bucket and directs urine and feces to toilet bowl. It is not a splash guard to use with bucket to contain urine inside bucket when using as bedside commode. It would sure be nice to have guard for those men with shriveled penis that tend to "stick up" when they urinate, therefore urinating over seat onto floor. Please excuse my explicit explanation, but I wanted to explain it very clearly. Also, it would be nice to have "optional" wheels that retract it you wish to use as bedside commode and/or over toilet. It is lightweight and I can carry, but some others may not be able to do so. I am not complaining about this commode, as it is wonderful and am only making suggestions that "I" feel might help.

Answer:	15 3/4" That's floor to top surface of commode seat. I am 4'7'' and have mine adjusted to the lowest position.

Answer:	I just measured the height of a 5 gallon driveway sealer bucket. It was 14.5 inches high. This particular commode has various height possibilities, the lowest being 14.5 inches. Seems like you're fine.

Answer:	The description states up to 350 pounds but the width looks small.

Answer:	The chair can be used over a toilet or it can be used next to a bed with a pail and lid for the pail that comes with it. The pail has a handle to help in carrying the pail to the toilet to flush the material down the drain.
