Answer:	It all depends on what stores have locally , but you can buy the refills on Amazon, and I have also seen them at Staples ( office supply store). I believe you can also order them direct from the “Rite In The Rain “ company. I believe there may be other places to buy refills as well.

Answer:	Almost anything can be used as a "self-defense" or "tactical" weapon. Hold this pen like an ice pick with your thumb depressing the cap so that the point is out, then strike your opponent in the neck and you too can end up in jail with all those other Rambo wannabes. Self protection is more of a state of mind where everything is a weapon and the most important thing is not your load out but your level of preparedness and situational awareness.
Question:	Is this good for someone that weights 500 pounds
Answer:	This is essentially a fisher pen with a Rite in the Rain cartridge (pen comes in Fisher packaging). Comparing the two pens, the cartridges are identical construction with different labels for Fisher Space Pen or Rite in the Rain. The ink formulas are definitely different. My test was a note with both inks written on Rite in the Rain paper submerged under water for a week. Rite in the Rain ink was as clear as when written (written underwater at that) and didn't smudge when rubbed. The Fisher ink floated and migrated on the paper but somehow didn't smear when rubbed at the end of the week test. I did not test the inks for temperature performance.
