Question:	Do I have to code the strips to the reader every time I do a test or just the first time
Answer:	You only need to code the strips once per bottle that you are utilizing. If you switch to a different strip (coming soon) you would need to repair the RFID according to which strip you wanted to utilize if you were switching back and forth.

Answer:	You can calculate your LDL by subtracting your HDL Cholesterol from your Total Cholesterol. The profile strips allow you to measure your Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, and Triglycerides.
Question:	Is is possible to apply too much blood? I can't get readings (only Lo or Er) and wonder if it's too little or too much blood on the strip
Answer:	As per the messages you are seeing: “Lo” - low blood, need to pour more blood “Er”- Does not read clean strip Please ensure that the blood sample is completely filled in a single action and that the capillary rod is also filled with the blood. Answer:	Yes you need the strip reader. The trips expired dates that the electronic reader reads will render the strips unusable. Other than that the machine works great.

The products that we carry come directly from the product manufacturer with the best available dating that they have (usually anywhere between 9-12 months) It is important to make sure you set the correct date & time on your CardioChek analyzer (sold seperately) BEFORE using any test strips. The instructions for setting up your analyzer are included in the User Manual that comes with the CardioChek analyzer (sold seperately). Currently, Total Cholesterol 3 ct exp 3-10-2021, HDL Chol 3 ct exp 3-15-2021 & Triglyceride 3 ct exp 12-15-2020. If you do not set the analyzer up correctly first, before using the test strips, then the analyzer will falsely read that strips are expired. For example enter 237-73-(84*.2) in whatever browser you are using and it will show you a calculator page showing 147.2. Just remember to use the parenthesis or your answer will not be right. The parenthesis enforce something called order of operations. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It SHOULD be, but it depends on your plan administrator. It was for me, but I asked them first to be sure. I didn't try to use my FSA card to pay for it directly but I did send in the purchase receipt for reimbursement from my FSA account.

Answer:	We test the LDL-C. It is calculated based on the results for the cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL values.
Question:	Will a doctor's office / hospital/ insurance except these results as a basis for prescribing cholesterol meds, or would they need an in-office test
Answer:	The lab has national CAP accreditation and CLIA certification, and its results and reports are used by doctors, insurance and hospitals.
Question:	Is fasting required for accurate results? It states fasting in the description, but not in the printed instructions that came with the test
Answer:	If I remember correctly, fasting overnight is best. My results were very close to a test I got at the doctor's office.
Question:	I live in NY. Is it illegal for me to purchase this kit
Answer:	Unfortunately we can't support New York Home Blood Tests yet. The state of NY has a very long process to be certified to give lab results - we are working on it but at this time we can't process and send results to NY residents.

You just need to drop your return package to your nearest UPS drop of point, to ensure delivery of samples to the lab. If you have any other questions, we are here to help.

Answer:	I’m not sure about microliters. But they’re asking you to keep dropping blood in this tiny little veil. It probably amounts to about a quarter of a teaspoon. I was a foods teacher.
