Answer:	It's actually not a question of distance since, theoretically, the distance is infinite. Rather, it's a matter of how wide the field of view is. With a field of view (FOV) about 90 degrees across, the further away you are, the more it sees, and thus the more it averages into its reading in that "cone." One test that I have done is to have someone walk in front of it about 25 feet away, in a large room. I can see the readings change slightly when they come into the field of view. When they were nearly 50 fee away, the reading changed very, very slightly. Hopefully, this helps.
