When we measure the temperature of the forehead, the difference in the distance between the probe and the forehead will cause some differences in the measurement results. In order to prevent this error due to different measurement distances, in the quick guide of the product, we recommend that customers contact the forehead each time they measure the temperature of the forehead. So this product is non-contact, it is equipped with the most accurate infrared probe produced by German Heiman. As long as there is a distance of 0-1.5 inches between the probe and the forehead, it can measure accurate results. At present, we have updated the instructions of the quick guide, but there are still some old instructions before the replacement. You can find a way to turn on silent mode by quick guide.
