I stepp off, get my cat and hold her while I step on scale. Now scale says 9.1 lbs. which is the weight if my cat. Its very accurate. I use a level to make sure my scale is level ( we have CorTec luxury vinyl floors) A level scale is a must to getting accurate weight. You’d be surprised if you have a level and check your floors. Answer:	If you did not setup the scale you don't need to reset it. Press SET, using the Up and Down Arrows, select a Profile Number, Gender, enter your height, then your Age (Note: Be sure to press SET after each selection)After entering your Age, the scale will display "0.0". Answer:	I can't really attest to the accuracy of weight capacity statements. I don't recall seeing a discrepancy in the stated capacity. I haven't found someone who weighs enough to test its limits so am unable to really help you if there's concern about possibly going above 400. Wish I could help. Great scale though if you don't have the upper limit of capacity to worry about. It provides lots of information. I love that I don't have to worry about writing down or remembering my last weight because the scale remembers then tells me if I'm up or down and by how much or if my weight is the same as my last weigh-in.

Answer:	HI. I've actually been meaning to pull out the user's guide to see what all the numbers mean. But so far, I've focused on my weight each day and the change from day-to-day. Yes, it gives you a current weight and let's you know if you went up, down or stayed the same from the last time you weighed. It also does tell you your current BMI. You can create a profile so the scale knows it's you weighing instead of someone else. I don't recall how many unique profiles can be created. Bottom line, I've liked this scale better than any other I've had. Hope this is helpful.

Answer:	Yes. There are a few options: a) Don't set up a user profile--the scale won't save the previous weights--it will clear to zero b) You can set up profiles for a few people. User manual says: "..the scale automatically identifies the current user by comparing the active weight on the screen with the most recent weights stored in any of the 8 profiles in memory. If 2 or more profiles are within 6 lbs of the active weight, the scale will display each profile that could be a match". c) Set up a user profile, and also keep a manual log. The scale keeps tracks of the last 30 weights. I keep a booklet and pen nearby to keep a record--when I'm expecting guests I put the booklet away.

Answer:	The scale calibrates itself. You push on it with your foot to turn it on, then lift and wait for it to calibrate to 0.0. Only then do you step on it to get your weight.
