Answer:	Yes, football players can wear these too. Although it does temporarily help alleviate knee pain, my son’s doctor said only rest, time and no physical activity for a while will be the best way to relieve Osgood Schlatters pain.

Answer:	Remember that the internal temp is not read, just the pipe. They will be different. Fourteen inches is the ideal distance to measure, but the pipe is a smaller target and I am guessing you were getting a combination of the pipe and air around it. Get closer. Hopefully you will get accurate readings if you adjust your distance. I have used my unit in my kitchen every day since I received it. Hope this fixes the problem.
